Everything you need to know about AC Supply, modding, and our community.

Getting Started

What is AC Supply?

AC Supply is the premier community-driven platform for discovering, sharing, and downloading Assetto Corsa mods. We host thousands of high-quality cars, tracks, skins, apps, and other modifications created by talented members of the AC community. Our platform features advanced search tools, user ratings, comments, and secure downloads to enhance your Assetto Corsa experience.

Do I need an account to download mods?

No, you can browse and download mods without creating an account. However, creating a free account unlocks additional features like rating mods, leaving comments, saving favorites, uploading your own mods, and participating in the community forum. We recommend creating an account to get the most out of AC Supply.

How do I install Assetto Corsa mods?

Installation varies by mod type. For cars, extract the downloaded ZIP and copy the car folder to "assettocorsa/content/cars/". For tracks, copy to "assettocorsa/content/tracks/". For skins, place them in the appropriate car's "skins" subfolder. Each mod page includes specific installation instructions. Check our Getting Started guide for detailed tutorials.

Are mods compatible with all versions of Assetto Corsa?

Most mods work with the standard version of Assetto Corsa. Some mods may require specific DLC packs or Content Manager. Compatibility information is listed on each mod's page under the "Requirements" section. Always check compatibility before downloading to ensure the mod will work with your setup.

Downloads & Files

Why does a download sometimes have a delay?

Free users may encounter a short countdown timer (typically 5-10 seconds) before downloads begin. This helps prevent automated bot abuse and supports our server costs. Premium subscribers enjoy instant downloads with no waiting. The delay also helps us maintain high-speed download servers for everyone.

Are all mods free to download?

Yes! All mods on AC Supply are completely free to download. We believe in keeping mod content accessible to everyone in the community. Premium subscriptions exist to support the platform and offer convenience features like instant downloads and ad-free browsing, but they never restrict access to mods themselves.

How do I know if a mod is safe to download?

Every file uploaded to AC Supply undergoes automated virus scanning and security checks. Mods are marked with their scan status. We also have a manual review process for flagged content. User ratings and comments provide additional community feedback. Look for mods with high ratings and positive reviews for the best experience.

What if a download fails or is corrupted?

If you experience download issues, try refreshing the page and downloading again. Ensure you have enough disk space and a stable internet connection. If problems persist, contact us at support@acsupply.cx with the mod ID and details. We'll investigate and re-upload the file if necessary.

Can I download mods on mobile devices?

Yes, AC Supply is fully responsive and works on mobile devices. However, you'll need to transfer the downloaded files to your PC where Assetto Corsa is installed. We recommend downloading directly on your gaming PC for convenience.

Uploading & Creating

How do I upload my own mods?

Create a free account and navigate to the Upload page from the main menu. Fill out the required information including title, description, category, and screenshots. Upload your mod file (must be under 500MB for free accounts). After submission, your mod will be reviewed before appearing publicly. Check our upload guidelines for best practices.

Do mods get reviewed before publishing?

Yes, all uploads undergo a review process to ensure quality and safety. This includes automated virus scanning, content guidelines verification, and manual checks for copyright issues. The review typically takes 24-48 hours. You'll receive a notification when your mod is approved or if any issues need to be addressed.

What file formats are accepted?

We accept ZIP and RAR archives containing your mod files. Ensure your archive is properly structured according to Assetto Corsa's folder conventions. Individual file size limit is 500MB for free users and 2GB for premium subscribers. Larger mods should be split into parts or contact support for assistance.

Can I update my uploaded mods?

Yes! Navigate to "My Uploads" in your account dashboard, find your mod, and click "Update". You can modify the description, add new screenshots, or upload a new version. Version history is tracked automatically, and users who previously downloaded your mod may be notified of updates.

What if I want to remove my uploaded mod?

You can delete your mods anytime from the "My Uploads" section. Click the mod, then select "Delete". This action is permanent and will remove all associated data including downloads, ratings, and comments. Consider marking it as "deprecated" instead if you want to preserve the history.

Community & Support

How does the rating system work?

Registered users can rate mods from 1 to 5 stars based on quality, accuracy, and enjoyment. You can only rate each mod once, but you can update your rating anytime. Ratings help other users discover the best content and provide valuable feedback to creators. Average ratings are displayed on mod pages and in search results.

Can I request specific mods?

Yes! Visit our Requests section to submit mod requests or browse existing requests. Describe the car, track, or content you're looking for with as much detail as possible. Creators browse requests looking for inspiration, and you'll be notified if someone fulfills your request. You can also vote on requests to show interest.

How do I report a mod or file?

Each mod page has a "Report" button. Click it and select the reason: copyright violation, malware, broken download, inappropriate content, or other issues. Provide detailed information to help our moderation team investigate. You can also email support@acsupply.cx with the mod link and explanation.

I found a bug. Where do I contact support?

Report bugs or technical issues by emailing support@acsupply.cx. Include your username (if you have an account), what you were trying to do, what happened instead, your browser and operating system, and screenshots if applicable. We typically respond within 24 hours and appreciate detailed bug reports!

Is there a Discord community?

Yes! Join our active Discord server at discord.gg/b3kJTpHCqK to chat with other AC enthusiasts, get modding help, share setups, participate in events, and stay updated on new releases. Our Discord community has thousands of members and is the best place for real-time discussions.

Account & Privacy

Is my personal information safe?

Yes. We take privacy seriously and follow industry-standard security practices. We only collect necessary information (email, username, password) and never sell your data to third parties. Passwords are encrypted with bcrypt hashing. Read our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we handle your information.

Can I change my username?

Username changes are available once every 30 days. Visit your Account Settings and click "Change Username". Choose an available username that meets our guidelines (3-20 characters, alphanumeric only). Your previous username will be reserved for 7 days to prevent impersonation.

How do I delete my account?

Account deletion can be initiated from your Account Settings page. Click "Delete Account" and confirm your decision. This action is permanent and will remove all your data including uploads, comments, and ratings. Downloaded mods you've uploaded will remain available unless explicitly removed first.

What are the benefits of premium subscription?

Premium subscribers enjoy instant downloads with no waiting, ad-free browsing, priority support, exclusive badges, larger upload limits (2GB vs 500MB), early access to new features, and support the platform's development. Premium is completely optional and never restricts access to mods.

Copyright & Legal

What if my content was uploaded without permission?

If you're the original creator and your work was uploaded without authorization, email dmca@acsupply.cx immediately with: proof of ownership, the URL of the infringing content, your contact information, and a statement affirming good faith belief. We respond to DMCA requests promptly, typically within 24 hours, and will remove infringing content.

Can I upload conversions from other games?

Converted content (ports from other games like Forza, Gran Turismo, etc.) must respect the original licenses and intellectual property rights. Many game companies prohibit such conversions in their terms of service. We may remove converted content upon request from rights holders. Always check the source material's license before uploading conversions.

Are there content guidelines for uploads?

Yes. Uploaded content must not contain: explicit/adult material, hate speech, malware, stolen content, or broken files. Mods must be relevant to Assetto Corsa and include proper attribution if using others' work with permission. Read our full Guidelines page for detailed rules. Violations may result in content removal or account suspension.

Technical Troubleshooting

Why is my downloaded mod not showing up in the game?

The most common reason is incorrect folder placement. Cars must go in "assettocorsa/content/cars/", tracks in "content/tracks/". Make sure you extracted the ZIP file completely and copied the actual mod folder (not a nested folder). Also check that the folder contains a "ui" subfolder with a ui_car.json or ui_track.json file.

Why does the game crash when loading a specific mod?

Crashes usually occur due to missing dependencies. Modern mods often require Custom Shaders Patch (CSP). Check the mod's description for required CSP version. Other causes include corrupted downloads (try re-downloading), incompatible mods, or insufficient RAM. Try loading the mod without other mods to isolate the issue.

What is Content Manager and do I need it?

Content Manager is a third-party launcher that replaces the default AC launcher. While optional, it's highly recommended for mod management, graphics settings, and installing CSP. It makes mod installation as simple as drag-and-drop. Get it free at assettocorsa.club. Most guides assume you're using Content Manager.

What is Custom Shaders Patch (CSP)?

CSP is an essential graphics modification that dramatically improves Assetto Corsa's visuals. It adds rain, better lighting, night driving, grass physics, and many other features. Many modern mods require CSP. Install it through Content Manager: Settings → Custom Shaders Patch. We recommend version 0.1.79+ for best compatibility.

Why are textures missing or showing as pink/purple?

Missing textures (shown as pink/purple) usually indicate incomplete extraction or corrupted files. Re-download the mod and extract using 7-Zip (avoid Windows built-in extractor for large files). Some mods also require base game DLC content. Check the mod requirements section for any dependencies.

How much RAM/VRAM do I need for modded AC?

Base Assetto Corsa requires 4GB RAM. For heavily modded sessions, we recommend 16GB RAM minimum. High-resolution car packs and tracks can use 8GB+ VRAM. If you experience out-of-memory crashes, reduce texture quality in Content Manager or limit the number of AI cars. SSDs significantly improve loading times.

Why is my force feedback not working or too weak?

FFB issues are usually configuration-related. In Content Manager, go to Settings → Assetto Corsa → Controls → Advanced. Enable "Lock to frequency" and set the FFB strength. Each wheel has optimal settings - search for your specific wheel model. Too-weak FFB is often due to FFB strength being set low or using wrong wheel presets.

Why do I get low FPS with good hardware?

Common causes: running at native resolution with MSAA (use FXAA or CMAA instead), too many shadows enabled, high AI count, or CSP rain effects. In Content Manager, lower shadow resolution, reduce smoke/particle effects, and limit AI to 20-24 cars. Consider using a custom PP filter as some are less demanding than others.

Mod Types & Installation

What's the difference between car mods and skin mods?

Car mods are complete vehicles with their own physics, sounds, and 3D models. They go in "content/cars/" and appear as separate cars. Skin mods are visual liveries for existing cars - they change the paint/decals but use the base car's physics. Skins go in the specific car's "skins" subfolder.

How do I install skin packs?

Extract the skin folder(s) and copy them to "assettocorsa/content/cars/[car_name]/skins/". Each skin has its own folder containing livery.png and preview.jpg files. With Content Manager, simply drag and drop the skin ZIP - CM auto-detects the correct car.

What are sound mods and how do I install them?

Sound mods replace the audio files for specific cars, often providing more realistic engine sounds from real recordings. Extract the "sfx" folder from the mod and replace the one in the car's directory. Some sound mods use FMOD banks - these may require additional installation steps detailed in the readme.

What are PP filters?

Post-Processing (PP) filters control the game's color grading, contrast, bloom, and overall visual style. They're like Instagram filters for AC. Install by placing the .ini file in "assettocorsa/system/cfg/ppfilters/". Popular filters include Natural Graphics Mod (NMG), A3PP, and various custom filters. Select active filter in video settings.

How do I use SOL weather mod?

SOL is a weather and lighting mod that works with CSP. Install through Content Manager's mod installation: drag the SOL ZIP file onto CM. Once installed, select SOL from the weather menu when starting a session. SOL provides realistic day/night cycles, dynamic weather, and atmospheric effects. Requires CSP 0.1.78+.

What are car packs vs individual cars?

Car packs contain multiple cars in one download, often from the same manufacturer or series (e.g., "JDM Legends Pack" or "Ferrari GT Pack"). Install the same way as individual cars - each car goes in its own subfolder within content/cars/. Packs save time but may include cars you don't need.

Multiplayer & Servers

How do I join online servers?

Use Content Manager's Online tab to browse and join servers. Filter by car, track, or server name. Some servers require specific mods - CM will prompt you to download missing content. For the best experience, ensure you have matching mod versions as the server. Popular competitive servers may require registration on their websites.

Why do I get "content mismatch" when joining servers?

This means your local mod version differs from the server's version. Common with frequently-updated mods like SRP. Solution: download the exact version the server uses (often linked in server descriptions). Content Manager can sometimes auto-download correct versions. Contact server admins if issues persist.

Can I run my own AC server?

Yes! Assetto Corsa includes server software. For easier setup, use Content Manager's Server tab. You can host servers for any mods you own. Port 9600 (UDP/TCP) needs forwarding on your router. Cloud hosting (like AWS or dedicated game servers) is recommended for public servers to ensure consistent uptime.

What is the difference between AC and ACC?

Assetto Corsa (AC) is the original game from 2014, focused on mod support and variety. Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) is the 2018 sequel, officially licensed by GT World Challenge but with no mod support. This site covers original AC mods only. Both games share the core physics DNA but are separate products.
